Meet Our Founders
Carol Aebersold is the award-winning co-author of the best-selling book The Elf on the Shelf®: A Christmas Tradition, as well as several board books. For several weeks each year, Aebersold serves as a spokeswoman for the North Pole, traveling nationally—and sometimes internationally—in support of her books, providing kids with a direct line to Santa. Aebersold is a co-founder and partner at Creatively Classic Activities and Books, her books’ publishing company, and has subsequently been named a Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Chanda Bell is the co-author of the acclaimed The Elf on the Shelf® series and the co-CEO of the books’ publishing company, Creatively Classic Activities and Books (CCA and B, LLC). As the company’s creative force, Bell is credited with expanding the company’s line with new titles each year and overseeing its successful growth outside of the literary arena as well. Bell’s determination and masterful marketing efforts helped The Elf on the Shelf® become a household name that has garnered the praises of national media and landed atop the best-seller lists of major publications.
Christa Pitts is the co-CEO of Creatively Classic Activities and Books, the publishing company behind the best-selling Christmas classic The Elf on the Shelf®: A Christmas Tradition. Prior to creating a successful career in the publishing world, Pitts was a host on QVC, where her warmth and enthusiasm made her a household name. She put her skills to the test at CCA and B, building the marketing and sales departments from the ground up. Today Pitts guides the strategic business vision of the company and oversees the operational side of the company, which includes sourcing, production and sales strategy.
